Team Nicaragua 2022 🇳🇮


Edwin Pompilio, born in Managua Nicaragua. He is currently in second grade at the Latin American Army College of Nicaragua. Since 2016 he has been involved in robotics issues, being in 2017 his first national robotics competition in which he represented UNICIT. “I believe that with robotics we can contribute to improving the quality of the environment.”

Rolando Gonzalez is currently in tenth grade. He is a very disciplined and focused boy. He has taken mobile app development courses, is currently collaborating on a cryptocurrency mining farm, and plans to study cyber security.

Jorge Araya, born in Managua, Nicaragua. He is 16 years old and is in the tenth grade at the Teresiano school. He completed 12 levels of robotics at UNICIT and spent approximately 2 years in a robotics club in which he participated in the third robotics Olympiad in his country. He has also been part of the science fairs of his school, developing his own projects using EV3.

Cody Barrantes, born in León, Nicaragua. He speaks two languages Spanish and English and has basic knowledge of the French language. Last year he participated in a national and world robotics competition in Nicaragua, winning first place in his category. “Knowing how to code will put me in line to guide my generation towards better horizons. I like to travel and spend time with my family.”

Our principal mentor Maria Jose, born and raised in Limón, Costa Rica. Is a computer engineer and is finishing her tesis for achieving a master’s degree in project management with an emphasis on information technology, she is currently working at Intel as Product Engineer.
