
26 May Team Paraguay 2022 🇵🇾
Coming from Astroteen – FIRST Lego Team, a group of 5 students from diverse High schools (Neuland High School, Luque Center Technical Academy and the Aerospace School Academy) are ready to represent the Paraguay national flag to bring the best of Guarani STEM Impact on whole world community. Their Coach and mentor, Sr. Wilson Blanco and Eng. Pablo Escobar are willing to teamwork during the Carbon Capture challenge. The talented students are ready and here you can know them respectively:
Philipp Perez: Hello, my name is Philipp Perez and I’m 18 years old. I am in 12th grade at the Colegio Secundario Neuland. I live in Neuland, a mennonite Colony in Paraguay. I proudly say that I will participate as a student in the 2022 FIRST Global Challenge! I’m Part of the Robotic Club at our School and I’ve been working with very basic roboting until now. I am very excited to start working on this project and be part of such an amazing event. I hope that the experience on this project can open new doors for me by making friends all around the world and meeting very talented and amazing people.
Maria Luz Blanco: Hi, My name is Luz, I am 16 and I am excited to be part of Team Paraguay 2022. I have experienced so many multicultural sport events representing our nation, I love making new friends around the world and hope to have an amazing experience during the FIRST Global Challenge – Carbon Capture.
Richard Von Heimburg: HI! My name is Richard and I’m 16 years old. I’m from Neuland city Paraguay and l love working building robots with the Astroteen team. I am considered to be a huge robotics maker and I think the FIRSTGlobal Challenge has been a huge impact on us to spread STEM around our community.
Tim Hubert: Hello, I’m Tim Hubert, I’m 18 years old, and I represented Team Paraguay in this year’s FIRST Global Challenge. My hobbies are sports and programming. I taught myself programming through tutorials and courses. After graduation, I would like to study Computer Science or Software Engineering in Germany. I think that this year’s theme “Carbon Capture” is very important and that it will get more attention because of this event. Apart from the event, the programs conducted by STEM are also worth mentioning, which help to bring scientific and future-oriented topics to the young generation. Finally, I can only say that I am looking forward to the event and that I am grateful to be able to represent my country.
Yolanda Veron: Hi my name is Yolanda Veron Fariña, I was born in April 2007. It is my first year of high school at the Luque Technical Training Center, specializing in electronics and robotics. Along with my academic career, I am involved in various activities related to the exact sciences and STEAM. I participated in the Olympiad of astronomy, astrophysics and astronautics (OPAAA) in 2020. I am author of the book “astronomy stories for kids.” Currently I work as a volunteer teacher of foreign language (English) in the first cycle of the E.E.B at the San AgustĂn school.
