26 May Team Singapore 2022 🇸🇬
Singapore — a small city-state of 5.6 million located about 85 miles north of the Equator, and certainly no stranger to this year’s theme of carbon capture. Known as “the Garden City”, Singapore’s lush greenery is but one of the many solutions to combat rising carbon emission levels. It is this spirit of ingenuity and enterprise that Team Singapore hopes to bring to the 2022 FIRST Global Challenge, alongside a determination to show the world that small countries too, can compete on a global stage.
Our team comprises nine members in their first year of the International Baccalaureate program at Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), namely Chen An Hong, Ethan Chan, Loh Hong Ming, Nuqman Hafiy, Owen Gamaliano, Quek Teck Yong, Sean Seah, Ryan Yap and Toh Xue Hong. Despite our varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, our team is united by our unshakable passion for robotics and deep interest in STEM. Although this is our first time working with the REV system, our team is excited for the challenge that innovating and adapting to a new system affords. Having spent years at our school’s robotics club, our team has a strong appreciation of the bonds forged and lessons learned over the course of such programs, and we hope we can have an enriching experience at this year’s FIRST Global Experience!
