Team Vietnam 2022 🇻🇳


Team Vietnam FIRST Global Challenge 2022 consists of five 12th graders and three 11th graders from high schools all over Vietnam. Together, we burn the passion with our youth and try the best to inspire young generations.

Linh Nguyen is a 17-year-old student at the High school for a gifted student, Hanoi University of Education. She is currently a founder and CEO of a startup company that works with technological advancement. Currently, she is the Scrum Master and responsible for public relations of team Vietnam. She plans to study the precious VinUniversity and grow her company successfully.

Khoa Tran is a 17-year-old student at the Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the gifted. He is currently head of mechanical engineering of the FIRST Robotics team of GreenAms 6520 Robotics Team. He has won multiple awards in FIRST Robotics Competition 2021 and Vietnam Robotics Challenge 2022. Currently, he is responsible for the mechanical department of Team Vietnam. He plans to study automobile engineering in France.

Minh Nguyen is a 16-year-old student at Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, has a huge passion for Robotics and especially in programming. With hard work and meticulousness, he was accepted into GART6520, the only FRC team in Vietnam. In his new journey at FGC 2022, as a programmer, he wants to contribute his knowledge and talent to spread his passion to the STEAM community in Vietnam.

Mai Nguyen is a 17-year-old student at Thai Phien High School, Hai Phong City. From the beginning of the 10th grade, she knew about the school’s robotics club and decided to join to satisfy her passion, learn and develop herself. Becoming a mechanical engineer of Team Vietnam 2021 and continuing to contribute in 2022, she wishes to bring the image and identity of Vietnamese people to international friends.

Phong Nguyen is a 16-year-old student at Duong Quang Ham High school in a rural area of Hung Yen Province, Vietnam. He has been fascinated by mechanics since the very young age. When he held the mechanical tools, they became incredibly simple. He came to FGC with the intention of learning more, expressing himself, and spreading Vietnamese culture.

Hung Trinh is a 16-year-old student at Thai Phien High School of Hai Phong City, he has been interested in mechanics since he was a child due to his family’s occupation. In grade 10, similar to his senior Mai Nguyen, he was aware of the school’s robotics club and wanted to participate in order to fulfill his enthusiasm, gain from experience, and grow. Through competitions as well as community service projects, he has learned a great deal of new knowledge. He wants to use those experiences and knowledge to help solve and overcome social problems.

Phong Kieu, 17 years old, is a student from Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, is currently the president of the GART 6520 Club at his school. 10 years ago, his parents were shocked because instead of having the same blood type as normal people, he had programmed blood flow in his body. He joined the Vietnamese team with the desire to bring his youth and passion to inspire future young generations, dedicating himself to the country.

Thanh Doan, 17 years old, is a student from Nguyen Gia Thieu high school in Hanoi. She is responsible for Team Vietnam media department. She also won multiple awards in Vietnam Robotics Challenge 2022. She joined Team Vietnam with desire to share the Vietnamese spirit to the FIRST Global Community.
