Team Croatia is a team of roboticists composed of the best members from the Zvane Roboticz team at Zvane Črnje Rovinj High School, which was established in 2019, and the top individuals from the Robonada robotics team, founded in 2022. This year, we successfully passed the national qualifiers and secured our spot in the long-awaited 2023 FIRST Global Challenge robotics competition, which is taking place in Singapore. Our team consists of six talented individuals: Iva Sošić, Marija Šimunović, Maša Šverko, Stefano Poropat, Leon Matejčić, and Adrian Legović, who are motivated by their passion for robotics and innovation.

With a history of remarkable achievements, Team Croatia has already left its mark on the international stage. In the previous edition of the FIRST Global Challenge in 2021, we proudly represented Croatia and collaborated with Team Australia, ultimately securing a commendable third place in the Health category. This accomplishment demonstrates our team’s exceptional problem-solving abilities, technical skills, and dedication to improving global healthcare through the application of robotics and automation.

Throughout our journey, we have been fortunate to have the guidance and expertise of our mentors, who have provided invaluable support and nurtured our growth as aspiring roboticists. Their mentorship has been instrumental in shaping our team’s vision, fostering collaboration, and cultivating a passion for science and technology.

As Team Croatia, we are excited to bring our knowledge, creativity, and determination to the 2023 FIRST Global Challenge in Singapore. With the opportunity to compete against some of the brightest minds from around the world, we are ready to showcase our innovative solutions, teamwork, and adaptability.
