Team Cyprus is a team with a long history with FIRST competitions as we have been participating in FIRST Global and other FIRST competitions since 2017. Our team is centered around Gracious Professionalism and the spirit of FIRST. We are very excited for this year’s challenge as it integrates real-world problems with robotics.

As a team we believe that the most important thing we can do is to spread the ideals of FIRST and inspire other bright young minds to pursue robotics and STEAM, which is a thing we have done continually in the past through several initiatives.

Continuing our tradition, in 2023:

(1) We offered robotics lessons to teachers of public and private schools all around Cyprus to help them inspire new students in STEAM, which then embarked their journey in the world of FIRST, by creating FIRST teams at their schools.

(2) In our search of making the world a better place, we have participated in 2 different charity events where we raised money for people with cancer.

(3) In our mission of spreading awareness about FIRST in Cyprus we also took part in “sCYence Fair”, where we gave participating students a firsthand approach on how to control and play with a FIRST robot.

(4) Adding to our outreach we partnered with CYENS Center Of Excellence in order to teach robotics to high school students through a summer program.

Overall, we believe that to create a better future you need to INSPIRE the youth!
