Team Georgia 2023 🇬🇪

My name is Konstantine DavitashviliI, I study in Vekua School of physics and mathematics. I have always been fascinated and interested in robotics. I’m glad that I will be a part of Team Georgia in the FIRST Global Challenge. I think it’s a great opportunity for students to meet other participants and create new contacts.

My name is Irakli Mchedlishvilli from Georgia. I study in N199 physics and mathematical public school (Komarovi). I always wanted to participate in international tournament like this. I make and build some of my inventions since childhood. Made Tesla coil, spot welder and ultrasonic glove for disabled people. I’m glad that I am a participant of the national team of Georgia and I’m sure that we will represent our nation the best.

I am Nino Macharashvili. I am interested in STEAM, especially robotics, engineering, and artificial intelligence. It has been about 4 years since the digital field became my passion. In this regard, I have been involved in various projects and hackathons. I was a member of the team that placed second in the “Best Young Explorer’s Club 2022” competition and presented our work in Poland, in Warsaw, at the Polish Radio and Copernicus Science Centre’s 26th Science Picnic. I was also a member of the team that got third place in the STEM competition and visited CERN. I want to get as much knowledge, skills, and experience as possible, and FIRST Global is a great opportunity for that.

My name is Ilia, I’m sixteen and I go to British-Georgian Academy (BGA). I have always wanted to participate in such a large-scale competition a robotics. I am very excited as this will be my first time participating in the FIRST Global Challenge. I am glad to be representing my country and look forward to this year’s challenge.

Hi, I am Nikoloz Lobzhanidze, but everyone calls me Nika. Me, robotics, engineering and computer science always complemented each other since my childhood. I have participated in and organized numerous STEM competitions and conferences. Being in Team Georgia gives me a tremendous opportunity to get to know new people who are like-minded, a chance for me to face new challenges and put myself to the test. I am glad to be part of the team because I am sure that I will gain an experience that will last a lifetime.

Archil Makashvili (Mentor)
I have been participating in the FIRST Global Challenge since 2019. This is not something that is only interesting for me, but a chance to help students from different schools of Georgia learn more about STEM and display their unique personalities and skill. I believe this is an amazing chance for every young enthusiast of science. I am looking forward to this year’s challenge as well as the many future ones!

Ilia Mestvirishvili (Mentor)
I represent FIRST Global Team Georgia from the first 2017 Challenge through the current one and find FGC to be an extraordinary opportunity for students as well as mentors to have a peek view in the future – at least how the future might be if we learn to cooperate and use our differences to everybody’s advantage. See you all in Singapore! Good luck all nations!

Thank you to our supporters!
