Team Guinea-Bissau 2023 🇬🇼

The ATENA Foundation has partnered with SOS Children’s Villages in Guinea-Bissau to help strengthen their teaching in science, technology, engineering and math.

Our team is comprised of seven members. Five students from the Polytechnic SOS school whose names are Mamy Indeque, Eunice dos Santos, and Nekyta Dju, Naiel Cassama, and Ápio Mendonça and two mentors, Cristiana and Ansumane.

Mamy Indeque is 17 years old, and she is in 11th grade. She wants to be a programmer because it has been her passion since childhood to help manage and store information in the country through software. She loves music, reading and watching movies.

Eunice dos Santos is in 12th grade. She wants to be a change maker in her country through STEM. She expects to make the most of her participation to learn from her peers and develop her skills in robotic. Her hobbies are online learning, music, and photography.

Nekyta F. de Carvalho Dju is in 12th grade. Her love for mathematics makes her want to pursue a career in programming, but she also likes fashion, dancing and singing.

Naiel Junior Cassama is 17 years old, and he is in 12th grade. He is passionate about creating websites, web apps and math. He wants to be a programmer and he is excited to be learning about how he can use his programming skills in robotic. He loves learning more about IT on youtube.

Our Mentors:

Cristina Silva is a mentor who has participated in the 2019 FIRST Global Challenge in Dubai where she discovered her talent for driving the robot. She is currently studying medicine in Portugal.

Ansumane Dabó is technical mentor who is professor at SOS High School.

This year, we have added a non-technical mentor, Djariato Mane who is providing mentoring and coaching to the team.

We would like to thank FIRST Global for giving us once again the opportunity to represent our country and be a part of such an incredible initiative. We look forward to meeting our peers from all over the world, interchange ideas, solve problems, learn, and cooperate.

Thank you to our supporters!
