Team Malta is a dynamic group of four young female individuals who are passionate about technology, coding, and problem-solving. Comprising four female students and two mentors, we are ready to tackle the challenges of the FIRSTGlobal Challenge and showcase our skills on the global stage. Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of robotics and embracing the collaborative spirit that this competition embodies.
Meet our talented team members:
Julia Muscat: Julia, 18, is an aspiring photographer, kickboxer, and clarinetist. Currently pursuing Software Development at MCAST, Julia’s journey into coding began during secondary school with Java. She views coding as both challenging and fun, and an avenue to explore her creativity. Eager to work within a team to develop innovative robotic solutions, Julia embraces the potential of the FIRST Global Competition.
Nicole Frendo: Hailing from Malta, Nicole is enthusiastic about coding and relishes challenges. Her decision to be part of the FIRST Global Robotics Challenge stems from a desire to gain invaluable learning experiences. Nicole thrives in group settings and is excited to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds, sharing knowledge and insights throughout the competition.
Anthea Muscat: At 16, Anthea’s fascination with technology and artistic creativity intersect in her studies of Multimedia Software Development at MCAST. Her innate problem-solving skills and affinity for artistry make her a formidable asset to the team. With a knack for reimagining old objects into something new, Anthea is poised to contribute innovative ideas to the team’s endeavors.
Mireille Vella: Aged 16, Mireille’s passion for science and technology is a driving force. Currently pursuing Software Development at MCAST, she thrives on critical thinking and problem-solving. Her enthusiasm for robotics is grounded in her love for tackling challenges head-on. Mireille is excited to collaborate with other teams, learn from their experiences, and contribute to the success of the FIRST Global Challenge.
