Team Mozambique 2023 🇲🇿

The Mozambican robotics team was founded in 2017 under a government policy in which each secondary and vocational technical school intended to form robotics clubs as a way to encourage girls in science and engineering education.

In the same year, Mozambique was invited to participate in the international competition organized by FIRST Global in Washington.
Mozambique is a developing country, so it must embrace sustainable technologies. And for this it is necessary to train young people in STEM subjects and embrace good sustainable governance practices so that our leaders of tomorrow think of environmentally-friendly global solutions.

The team today consists of 30 students, of which 16 are girls and 14 are boys, from 13 to 19 years old. They attend high schools and technical schools. They are youth with very high motivation and even with the difficulties we face they actively participate in the activities of the team.

Thanks to the support of FIRST Global and Partners who have sponsored the team, Mozambique has already participated in the competitions in Washington, Mexico, Dubai and Switzerland, this year the team intends to participate in Singapore. From now on we warmly thank FIRST Global and partners for making this event a reality.

Thank you to our supporters!
