Team Nepal 2023 🇳🇵

We are FIRST Global Challenge Team Nepal 2023, a group of 10 dedicated and enthusiastic young individuals from various schools in the Kathmandu Valley. Our team members, aged between 14 and 16, share a passion for robotics, STEM, and coding, making us a diverse and knowledgeable group. Our team is fortunate to have two experienced mentors guiding us. Er. Bikash Gurung, President of the Robotics Association of Nepal, provides us with invaluable insights into robotics and engineering. Er. Subash Shrestha, Head of Research and Development at the Robotics Association of Nepal, lends his expertise to fuel our innovation and technical growth.

Our team, FIRST Global Challenge Team Nepal 2023, is a dynamic group of enthusiastic and talented young individuals who have come together with a shared passion for robotics and innovation. We represent Nepal, a country known for its rich culture, biodiversity, and remarkable natural resources, including being the home of Mount Everest and possessing a significant hydrogen resource potential. We believe that even though Nepal may be small in size, our potential to contribute to the global advancement of clean and sustainable energy solutions is substantial.

Through rigorous training, including specialized robotics classes and extensive research, we have honed our skills in robotics and coding. These efforts have prepared us to embrace the challenges presented by the 2023 FIRST Global Challenge. As we embark on this exciting journey, we are eager to showcase the outcomes of our hard work and the unique strengths each team member brings to the table. The theme of this year’s challenge, “Hydrogen Horizons,” resonates deeply with us, as it aligns with our commitment to finding innovative ways to harness cleaner and more efficient energy sources for the future.

Personally, we are thrilled to be part of this prestigious event because it is an opportunity to put into practice the knowledge we have gained from various STEAM projects and robotics endeavors. The chance to demonstrate our abilities on an international platform is both exhilarating and motivating. Our journey began when we were identified by our robotics mentor, which led to my involvement with the Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN) and eventual selection for the FGC 2023 Team Nepal. This experience is a testament to the dedication of mentors and educators who recognize and nurture young talent.

In a world where sustainable energy is crucial for the well-being of our planet, “Hydrogen Horizons” is a theme that deeply matters to us. We recognize the limitations of non-renewable energy sources and the urgent need to transition towards cleaner alternatives. By embracing hydrogen-based energy technologies and fostering innovation, we believe we can contribute significantly to a more sustainable future. This year’s FIRST Global Challenge provides us with a platform to share our ideas, collaborate with global peers, and pave the way for a greener, brighter tomorrow.
