The country of a thousand hills, Rwanda is one of 56 African countries and located in Central-East Africa. Rwanda is also known to accommodate Mountain Gorilla, the rare animals species that historically has similar character as human being. Rwanda is the cleanest and safest country in Africa and in the world as well. Rwanda is led by a visionary President H. E Paul Kagame who pretend to transform Rwanda to be the next Singapore of Africa.
STUDENTS
1. Ms. INGABIRE Digne: Born in June 2006, I am doing Masonry at Muhabura Integrated Polytechnic College. Very passionate about STEM, I am among our team robot designer. I joined FIRST Global Challenge Team Rwanda in 2020 from that time I am an active student and because of that I was appointed to be a Team Spokesperson. My hobbies are movies and music.
2. Mr. ISHIMWE ABAYISENGA Fabrice: A Rwandan by nationality, I was born in May 2005, a high school student pursuing a combination of Mathematics, Computer Science and Economics, I am among the best performer students and very active. My willing, effort and eagerness to learn about STEM makes me to be appreciated by both trainers and mentors and appointed to be team captain. I joined our team in 2021 during the Pandemic of Covid-19 period. From the time I joined the team I vowed to win the competition and give the team gold medal but unfortunately from that period our struggled to participate to the competition in vain. But our hope is still high. Hobbies : Sport, Music and Photography.
3. Ms. NDAGIJIMANA UMUHIRE Joah: A high school student, I was born in August 2008, I am actually one of the student who is collaborative, because I always want to interact with both students and mentors regardless the circumstances they are in. I like playing music to facilitate good work and avoiding stress of work. I am a hard worker and liked by the whole team. Hobbies Passionate in music and movies.
4. Mr. NGABO LIN KEVIN: With hand of skills ability in building robot, I am a Rwandan, from a high school doing Mathematics and Computer Science, I joined FIRST Global team Rwanda in 2020, and worked remotely, from then I am an active member and I really aim to reach higher in STEM. The team efforts is to win the completion. My hobbies is sport and music.
5. Ms. NZAMWITA MILCA: A 16 Years old, my aim is to study physics at Green hills, I am thrilled to join the 2023 FIRST Global Challenge in Singapore and I am glad to be part of this aspiring competition and I am excited to learn new ways of doing thing through STEM.
MENTORS
Mr. MUROTI R. Theophile: A Managing Director of Theos Advertisement and Marketing Company and an Entrepreneur, I joined the FIRST Global Challenge in 2017, at that period I found and led FIRST Global Challenge Burundi, one year later I joined team Rwanda which I led from that time till today. I am the focal person and mentor and assistant to Neza Guillaine. Owned a Bachelor Degree, I am a leader and hope to take the team very far to eradicate challenges that are facing by our local community through STEM.
Mr. MPUHWEZIMANA Jean Gabriel: I am Jean Gabriel, an Electronics Engineer as well as a Full Stack Developer. I find immense joy in mentoring children, helping them tap into their engineering capabilities. Participating in FIRSTGlobal 2023 is an esteemed opportunity. Witnessing the growth of young minds, their innovative thinking, and their hands-on exploration of STEM fascinates me. It’s truly an honor to be part of their inspirational journey of representing our nation while nurturing their creative potential.
