13 May Team Belize 2024 🇧🇿
Team Belize is made up of 14 innovative individuals from different robotics backgrounds. These students have been a part of competitions like FLL, FRC, and even FGC. Our team members range from varying grades and ages but are brought together by the passion and drive to learn more and push innovation to its limits. As a team, we strive for change in a turbulent world where our efforts can make a substantial impact. We, a small country, hope to make a large impact, spreading the power to learn and innovate worldwide.
Robotics has officially been declared a Sport in Belize, which has emboldened the spirit of sportsmanship and competitiveness within us. As pioneers of the trend, we have been working towards spreading the benefits and experience of robotics with others in our community and country. Our hope is for the inclusion and declaration of robotics as a sport across the globe, enabling more people our age to see the benefits and opportunities of a previously unrecognized sport.
Our goal for this year’s competition is the one it has always been; to inspire STEM learners to participate in resolving globally impactful issues. By merging our love for robotics with our social responsibility, we can positively impact the world. This year’s theme is extremely relevant to our country as most of our consumption comes from importation. As living costs rise around the world, we are looking for Belize to become more self-sustainable in terms of resources, especially food. We are also looking forward to the cultural exchanges, challenges, connections, and friendships we will make in our robotics journey. Most of all, we are looking forward to the road ahead of us in this creative journey and how it will impact the world around us.
Thank you to our supporters!
