14 May Team Czechia 2024 🇨🇿
Team Czechia is made up of enthusiastic students from the International School of Prague, who share a strong passion for building and coding robots. With a variety of skills and backgrounds, these young innovators work together to explore new ideas and improve their technology. Although the 14 team members haven’t all worked together before, each brings a unique experience from the competitions they participated in.
In February 2024, many of the students traveled to Bucharest to compete against other international schools in the CEESA robotics tournament. For most of them, it was their first time participating in such a competition. Despite the new style of competition, one of the teams managed to earn second place, however, for all the teams the tournament was more than just about winning. It was an opportunity to learn, collaborate, and grow as a team.
In June 2024, our school had the opportunity to travel to Košice and participate in the FIRST Slovakia tournament, the teams’ first chance to build with the REV pieces. Now with more experience ISP’s team Mecha Falcons won 1st place in the Hardware Challenge and LionTech brought to Prague the Teamwork Award.
In June, all the teams came together to start working on a robot for the FIRST Global competition in Athens. Each member brings something unique to the table, and we believe that, together, we can achieve great results.

Advieek Sharrma(Team Captain)
Hello, my name is Advieek. This is my 8th year at ISP, and first year doing FIRST Global. I have participated in other REV, VEX, and even FIRST LEGO League competitions. My main role in the team is the Captain with a secondary role in Building.
Donghwa Shin (Driver, Programmer)
Robotics has been a part of my life since 4th grade, when I had my first competition with my friends in the US. I took the role of programming, and after winning the state championship, we participated in FLL Worlds. After moving to the Czech Republic, I joined the robotics club at school. Throughout the past year, we were able to work more efficiently as a team and be organized. After going undefeated in the last competition, I am confident that we can perform well at FGC.
Greta Kovacs (Head of Logistics, Builder)
This is my second year in robotics. I joined because it seemed fun, but now I recognize it is much more than that. I never imagined I would be able to build and design a robot. Robotics has pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to do incredible things.
Sofie Tajblová (Builder, Coder)
I’ve joined the robotics team recently, because I wanted to be a part of a club that connects technology and creativity, both of them being my interests. I also wanted to try something new in general. I am helping with the engineering notebook and everywhere else I’m needed. Other hobbies of mine are dancing and book reading.
Alina Durova (Head Coder)
I joined Robotics a bit later throughout the year, as I was interested in developing my programming skills. Though this is quite outside of my comfort zone, I have fun. I look forward
to my future robotics projects. In my free time, I read and play video games.
Thank you to our supporters!
