Team Maldives, a dynamic group of 14-15 year-olds from Ghiyasuddin International School, driven by a passion for robotics and coding are proud to represent our beautiful nation at the FIRST Global Challenge in Athens, Greece. With 2- 3 years of experience, we’ve honed our skills to create innovative solutions. Our first-place win at the Ooredoo STEM Fair for our wave barrier project offering solutions to safeguard our roads from the impacts of rising tides demonstrates our commitment to addressing real-world challenges.

The Maldives, our home, is a living example of sustainability. From our traditional fishing methods that protect marine life to our local farmers nurturing the land, it nourishes our communities and preserves the delicate balance of our ecosystems.
These sustainable practices are precisely why we are thrilled to embrace this year’s challenge, “Feeding the Future.” By focusing on sustainable food production and equitable distribution, we can create a world where everyone has access to nutritious food while protecting our planet.
