21 May Team Saint Lucia 2024 🇱🇨
We are Team Saint Lucia, a group of talented and passionate individuals from a beautiful island surrounded by lush beaches and home to the world-famous twin Pitons. Hailing from different schools across the island, our team members share a common love for robotics that ignited during their educational journey. With diverse interests ranging from sports and music to STEM education and environmental sustainability, Team Saint Lucia represents a well-rounded and determined group.
Team Saint Lucia is made up of students from as young as 13 to 18 years old. We have an extensive passion for robotics and coding, and some of our team members have won national hackathons and science awards. We love learning new things and are always curious about figuring out solutions to difficult problems we encounter.
Our team is mentored by Orbtronics Ltd, a company whose founders both participated in the first-ever FIRST Global Robotics Challenge in 2017. They are also very excited to facilitate Team Saint Lucia’s participation in this year’s competition and provide the team with all their tips and tricks.
This year’s theme, Feeding the Future, is incredibly important to us as Saint Lucia continues to strive for sustainable food production. As we face the defining challenges of the 21st century, this theme challenges FIRST Global teams of students from around the world to learn about and address the obstacles and opportunities to provide the global population with equitable, safe, nutritious, and environmentally responsible food.
Components of the season will highlight the need to simultaneously improve economic, social, and environmental impacts in order to create a truly sustainable food system. As Saint Lucia works towards sustainable agricultural practices, our team is eager to contribute innovative solutions to these global challenges.
Thank you to our supporters!
