Vi Dong Tran is a lifelong learner who is always eager to explore new knowledge and set ambitious goals for personal growth. Growing up in Vietnam, Vi Dong Tran developed a strong desire to reach beyond national boundaries and make his mark on the international stage. This aspiration motivated him to study diligently and participate in prestigious academic competitions such as the American Mathematics Olympiad (AMO) as well as various national-level contests in Vietnam and Austria. Currently, Vi Dong Tran is pursuing his education in software engineering at HTL Villach in Austria. His real strength lies in team spirit. Whether it’s cheering from the sidelines or taking one for the team, Tran Vi Dong is the kind of person who doesn’t need a trophy to prove they mattered. Fueled with positive energy, love making new friends, and working in teams. Tran Vi Dong always brings energy, empathy and humor into a project.

Jakob is an 18-year-old student at the Higher Technical College (HTL) in Villach, with a strong passion for programming and modern technology. His fascination with robotics began during his earlier school years, where he took part in an elective course focused on building and programming LEGO robots. Since then, Jakob has continuously developed his technical skills and gained hands-on experience—most notably by participating in several hackathons, where he tackled real-world challenges and collaborated with others to create innovative solutions. He is particularly enthusiastic about software development, cutting-edge technologies, and the dynamic interaction between hardware and code.

Niklas 17 is an apprentice mechatronics technician at Lam Research in Villach. His passion for
robotics began with repairing RC Cars and building Lego Technic models. His Tasks include repairing robots, where he applies his technical knowledge and creativity to find precise solutions. Through this work, he gains valuable experience and looks forward to the upcoming challenges at the First Global Challenge

Jonas is 18 years old and he is an apprentice at Lam Research in Villach. His responsibilities include assembling, maintaining and operating the robot. In his free time, he enjoys driving RC Cars.

Lukas is 17 Years old and an apprentice at the company Lam Research in Villach. Ever since childhood, he’s been passionate about mechanics, electronics and building with LEGO. He’s also developed a strong interest in music- playing an instrument teaches him discipline, creativity and teamwork, all of which complement his technical pursuits.

Within the Team, Lukas is responsible for the mechanical assembly of the robot. He brings careful craftsmanship, technical know-how, and a musician’s focus- ensuring each piece fits smoothly and every mechanism moves in harmony.

Mattheo is an 18-year-old student at the Higher Technical College (HTL) in Villach, studying Computer Science & Management. He’s passionate about programming and enjoys figuring out how technology can solve problems. Whether coding solo or working with a team, he’s always eager to learn new things and improve his skills. Since he was a kid, he’s played the drums, which has helped him build focus and creativity. In his free time, he enjoys playing volleyball—both for fun and to be part of a team. Mattheo looks forward to new opportunities to grow and challenge himself, both in technology and beyond.

Team Mentors
Stefanie and Stefan provide critical support to the team by assisting with technical questions that arise during the construction of the robot. Our role involves troubleshooting issues, offering guidance on technical challenges, and ensuring that the design and construction processes align with our project goals. Additionally, we take on various organizational tasks, such as coordinating schedules, managing resources, and ensuring effective communication among team members. This helps maintain a smooth workflow and allows the team to focus on innovation and problem-solving as we work towards building a successful robot.

Stefan is a Telematics professional with extensive experience in management, programming, software engineering, network technology, IT security, and SAP. His key areas of expertise lie in: Software Engineering: Proficient in developing and optimizing software applications, with a strong foundation in various programming languages and methodologies. Artificial Intelligence: Experienced in designing and implementing AI solutions, including machine learning algorithms and data analysis techniques. Databases: Skilled in database management, design, and optimization, with hands-on experience in various database systems. Computer Hardware: Knowledgeable in computer hardware components and their integration with software systems for optimal performance and reliability.

Stefanie is a manufacturing technician at Lam Research Villach and a part of the Apprenticeship Team Villach. She is responsible for the electrical assembly and testing of platforms and new customer requests, based on detailed documentation. This includes diagnostics, troubleshooting, and interim inspections. Actively involved in transitioning development projects to production and enhancing workflows, documentation, and overall quality. Also engaged in knowledge sharing and training while reviewing documentation and reporting deviations.
