Warm greetings to the world!

Team Botswana comprises of young brilliant minds who are highly motivated to collaborate with other youth of the world in an endeavour to work on finest solutions emanating from pressing challenges the world faces. They are united by a shared passion of STEM Education, which they express through team work, empathy to one another and respect while working on innovative solutions. The team is composed of enthusiastic high school learners from diverse regions of the country.

They are eager to participate in this year’s FIRST Global Challenge because they will not only bring a competitive robot and eco-tech innovations to the global stage, but also a deep-rooted commitment to environmental stewardship, community growth, and student empowerment. They believe that their participation would also strengthen Botswana’s position in STEM, inspire peers, and spark long term support for science-driven education. The team’s goal is not only to inspire the colleagues by to navigate the width and breadth of the country, to teach other students about STEM Education, particularly about robotics!

Learners believe that this year’s theme matters because the environment, including its flora and fauna, must be used in a balanced thoughtfully way to avoid extinction. This ensures a balanced future. And everyone on the globe is responsible for sustaining ecological biodiversity equilibrium.
