The national team of Burkina Faso is made up of five young enthusiasts of science, technology, and robotics, united by the common dream of proudly representing their country at the FIRST Global Challenge 2025 in Panama City. Their journey is driven by passion, innovation, and the determination to prove that, despite challenges, Burkinabè youth have immense potential in STEM.
Hiram Amoussou: a brilliant student who already made his country proud by winning the world bronze medal at the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge Grand Finale 2025 in Geneva. His experience and commitment serve as an inspiration for the team.
Bancé Abdoul Aziz: passionate about Python programming and the Internet of Things (IoT), he loves exploring technological solutions to address real-world problems.
Chris OUEDRAOGO: inventive and curious, he independently built a robot capable of collecting and disposing of waste using the Rev Robotics kit from the First Global Challenge. He is most passionate about robot assembly and tackling new challenges.
PARE Nah Rachida: a former alumni of the program, she is passionate about computer science and robotics. This year, she shares her experience by coordinating the team’s strategy and fostering collaboration.
Geosef Ostin ZONGO: also a former alumni, passionate about programming, he enjoys mentoring and supporting his teammates in technical development.
Together, these five students form a determined and ambitious team. Their mission goes beyond the competition: they aim to inspire young people in Burkina Faso and worldwide, proving that passion for STEM, creativity, and teamwork can overcome obstacles and pave the way to a brighter future.
In October 2025, they will proudly defend the colors of Burkina Faso in Panama, carrying the hope of honoring their nation and showing that Burkinabè youth have a role to play in global innovation.
