Team Egypt for the FIRST Global Challenge 2025 proudly brings together five outstanding students and two dedicated mentors, united by a passion for robotics and innovation.
Each member brings a rich background of achievements in national and international competitions, making them strong representatives of Egypt on the global stage.
Ahmed “Hamido” has competed in RoboGames, RoboCupJunior, and VEX. He won 8th place in the Rescue Line category at RoboCupJunior 2024 world finals in Eindhoven, Netherlands, and led his team to win 1st place in RoboCupJunior Egypt 2025, qualifying for the world finals in Salvador, Brazil.
Rana also earned 8th place in the Rescue Line category at RoboCupJunior 2024 world finals in Eindhoven. She was part of the champion team in RoboCupJunior Egypt 2025 and secured her qualification to the world finals in Brazil.
Diala brought home 1st place in the OnStage category at RoboCupJunior Egypt and was qualified to compete in the 2024 world finals in Eindhoven, demonstrating creativity and teamwork.
Omar has a wide robotics background, having joined VEX, RoboGames, FLL, and RoboCupJunior. He won 1st place in the Soccer category at RoboCupJunior Egypt 2024 and represented Egypt at the world finals in Eindhoven. He also participated in the FGC 2024 held in Athens, Greece.
Yasin has competed in MRC and RoboCupJunior, winning 1st place in MRC and proudly representing Egypt at the finals in Greece.
The team is mentored by Eng. Kareem Youssri, a seasoned leader in robotics education. His journey began with mentoring FLL teams from 2006 to 2010, including a special needs team that won 2nd place in 2009 and 1st place in 2010, earning a spot at FLL USA. In 2012 and 2013, he led teams to victory in the MATE ROV competition, representing Egypt at the world finals in NASA, USA.
Since 2024, Kareem has served as the Regional Representative for RoboCup Junior Egypt. He has received numerous national and international awards, including the 1st place worldwide title in the RoboCup @Home Education competition in 2021. He currently serves as the Head of Robotics and AI at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology.
Together, this team embodies the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and excellence, ready to represent Egypt with pride at the FIRST Global Challenge 2025.
