Team Gambia 2025 🇬🇲

Team Gambia 2025 brings together 23 high school students from across The Gambia. Each selected for their clear drive to explore robotics and engineering. Coming from both urban centers and rural communities, the team reflects Gambia’s geographic and educational diversity. The selection process focused on practical ingenuity, curiosity, and a willingness to step into complex technical problem-solving, particularly among students with limited access to advanced STEM education.

Over several months, the team has trained intensively in core robotics competencies: mechanical design, programming, electronics, and systems integration. Their preparation blends guided instruction with peer collaboration, giving space for experimentation, iteration, and teamwork under real-world constraints. The learning approach is hands-on, and the team has steadily built both technical confidence and a shared identity as problem solvers.

Beyond competition, Team Gambia 2025 represents the growing momentum around STEM education in The Gambia. Their presence at FIRST Global isn’t just about a robot, it’s about showing what’s possible when young people are given the tools, mentorship, and platform to lead. In doing so, they’re laying a foundation for the next generation of Gambian engineers, innovators, and builders.
