04 Aug Team Great Britain 2025 🇬🇧
Hi! We’re team Great Britain, represented by five students from team Powercut Robotics (25268), from Langley Park School for Boys in Beckenham, London. In this year’s Into the Deep challenge, we won first place Inspire Award at the UK championship, and placed first in the entire competition, setting the UK high score three times!
We run our team using three core values:
Performance – through our dedication and passion, we strive to always achieve our best in the competition, being role models for other teams in our school by showing enthusiasm and perseverance in embracing challenges head-on and professionally.
Support – through mentoring and training, we aid as many teams as possible do well. We lead by example, always working to improve and help others as we go.
Inspiration – through our outreach and embodying the spirit of FTC, we want to help inspire the next generation of engineering students. We promote FIRST to other schools and ensure the legacy we leave behind is one we are proud of.
Meet the team:
Adrian – Project manager and joint team lead
Fabian – Mechanical lead and joint team lead
Teddy – Mechanical team and social media
Kieran – Non-technical team and driver
Adam – Mechanical team and driver
We are the first comprehensive, non-selective school to represent the UK at FIRST Global, and we are incredibly proud of this fact. We want to show people from where we are from that anyone, no matter your background, can put their mind to something and succeed in it. When we started our FTC journey two years ago, we would never have imagined ending up here, but we have come such a long way and learnt so much that we are ready to compete and do our best!
