Meet Team HONDURAS 2025, a passionate group of students from Tegucigalpa and Villa de San Francisco. They come from different high schools and technical institutes, brought together by a shared love for robotics and STEM.
As the team continues to grow, former members from 2023 and 2024 have welcomed them, sharing how the Declaration of Interdependence and Bill of Responsibilities from FIRST Global have made a meaningful impact on their lives and communities.
Team HONDURAS is driven by a powerful mission: to inspire more children across the country to dive into robotics. For many of them, it’s not just a challenge — it’s a chance to build the skills that will help them chase their professional dreams.
At the same time, they’re proud to represent a country rich in biodiversity. Honduras is home to vibrant rainforests, cloud forests, and coral reefs, but these ecosystems face serious threats from deforestation, climate change, and habitat loss.
Team HONDURAS believes that STEM is a key to protecting this natural heritage. With every robot they build and every idea they share, they aim to spark innovation and prepare future generations to care for Honduras — both its people and its planet.
