This year, Team Iran returns to the FIRST Global Challenge for the ninth consecutive year, ready to represent the spirit of innovation and perseverance that defines our nation. While our journey began like many others, with the ambitious goal of designing a cutting-edge robot, it quickly became a testament to our resilience. This season, due to a series of unprecedented challenges, we are our smallest team since 2017, with only three dedicated members. Despite immense logistical hurdles and the physical distance that separates us—with members located in two different cities—we chose not to falter. Our presence here is a conscious decision to represent the unwavering hope and determination of Iranian youth and the Iranian people.

This year, our compelling biodiversity project—directly addressing the competition’s theme—is a testament to the incredible support of our mentors and volunteers in Iran. They believe in our potential to use technology for good, and our journey to Panama is a direct result of their unwavering guidance. We are proud to demonstrate how we, as teenagers from around the world, can solve these global challenges not only with innovation and STEM but also through the power of collaboration, peace, and friendship.

As we stand here in Panama, we extend a message of peace and friendship to every one of the 190+ countries participating in this challenge. Our journey is a reminder that even in the face of great adversity, the shared language of STEM can unite us. We believe that through collaboration and a common pursuit of a better world, we can solve the most pressing issues facing humanity. May this competition be a celebration of our collective creativity, friendship, and a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
