We are a team of students aged 12 to 18, brought together from all across Japan through the Global Innovator ACADEMY (GIA), our national representative training program. Despite differences in age, experience, and region, we’ve come together to learn, grow, and take on the world. GIA was created to provide all students—regardless of background—with the opportunity to challenge themselves globally, and our team is a direct reflection of that vision.

This year’s theme, Eco Equilibrium, resonates deeply with us. Japan is home to a remarkably diverse range of ecosystems, including oceans, mountains, rivers, plains, mountain ranges, and even deserts. We are also a country of four distinct seasons, with snowfall in many regions, adding to our environmental complexity. Japan has experienced and overcome severe pollution in the past, and has since become a global leader in environmental technologies. Because of this history and biodiversity, we believe we have the unique potential to offer impactful, sustainable innovations to the world.

The FIRST Global Challenge is not just a competition—it is a space where collaboration, diversity, and friendship take center stage. We are excited to stand on this international platform, connect with peers from across the globe, and take our first steps toward building a better future through the power of science and technology.
