20 May Team Latvia 2025 🇱🇻
Hello there, we are FIRST Global Challenge Team Latvia 2025! We are from different schools, but we all meet at The Centre of Creative Learning “Annas 2”, one of the best places in Latvia to learn science, technology, crafts and arts. There are 8 students and our mentor Egmonts Pavlovskis in our team.
The First Global Challenge gives us a chance to learn new things, face challenges, and work together. Each of us has different skills, and together we support and complement each other. We look forward to being a part of this global experience and meeting all of you this fall. See you in Panama!
Kristers Murds: I have a strong interest in electronics and 3D printing, always looking for creative ways to combine them. I study electronics and coding at “Annas 2” and enjoy coding at home, experimenting with different projects. Technology and problem-solving are a big part of my life, keeping me curious and engaged. In my free time, I love playing video games, solving Rubik’s cubes and other puzzles, as well as staying active with sports. I have also competed in motocross and played basketball.
Renārs Kažoks: I’m a mountainbiker and amateur weightlifter, with a passion for robotics and engineering that I hope to use to drive both myself and my team to ever greater heights! This will be my second time participating in the FIRST Global Challenge. During this year’s competition, I hope to further my engineering knowledge, while also improving my teamwork, and perhaps leadership skills.
Gabriels Ģērmanis: I remember having dreams of building a human-like robot, capable of performing the most random tasks. I even wanted to build a robot that makes a sandwich. My hobbies are electronics, computer games, going on walks, reading books, and doing fun an amazing stuff in general. I look at myself as a funny and open person, but mostly towards the people I know very well. My favorite color is blue, and I love fast food. I also like solving tricky puzzles when I get the chance. But I admit that sometimes I can get a little impatient and forget about the puzzle.
Markuss Lejnieks: I like cycling and woodworking. I’m a beginner in robotics. I create my own electrical circuits for a few years now. I still learn many things.
Eduards Leo Šulcs: The FIRST Global Challenge is a great chance for me to learn more about electronics and robotics, which has been my passion since the first grade. I like building electronic circuits at home, out of parts from an old electronic devices. My other hobbies include reading and bird watching.
Timotejs Jašs: I am interested in electronics and I like fishing (especially when I catch fish). To my mind by accepting the First Global Challenge you can learn a lot of things that will be useful later in life, and it will also be a well spent and enjoyable time.
Teodors Builis: I’m passionate about music and enjoy spending my free time working on robotics and electronics. For sports, I love mountain biking with my friends and performing traditional Latvian folk dances.
Marks Filips Uzulnieks: I like programming and electronics. I want to do something bigger than that. I want to compete in First Global Challenge and this will be my first worldwide team challenge. I want to understand teamwork and what to do in the worldwide competitions. In my free time I like running and playing computer games.
