Meet Castle – Team Libya a passionate and dedicated group of 8 ambitious members proudly representing Libya and the city of Sebha. Since our founding in 2019, we have been pioneers in promoting robotics and STEM education in a region that is often overlooked—using technology as a tool to spark hope, drive innovation, and serve our community.

Over the past five years, we have participated in five consecutive FTC regional championships as the first team from southern Libya, earning three Inspire Awards in recognition of our excellence, teamwork, and innovative spirit. But our impact didn’t stop at competitions—we have helped build a thriving robotics community in the south by establishing and supporting more than 10 new robotics teams, spreading a culture of innovation and creating opportunities for the next generation of creators.

In 2024, we took a bold step forward by launching a new team called “New Castle”, aiming to take on higher-level challenges FRC in the robotics world. This expansion allows Castle Team members to continue their growth while also welcoming fresh talent to explore more advanced experiences in engineering and innovation.

Despite limited resources, Castle Team continues to grow and evolve year after year—not only in technical skills but also in leadership and community impact. The FIRST Global Challenge 2025 marks a new chapter for us—an opportunity to learn, engage, and represent Libya with creativity and courage. With the support of our dedicated mentors and our strong vision of empowering our community, we are ready to take on this global challenge.
