Team Malaysia 2025 🇲🇾

Team Malaysia consists of five students who have the passion, cooperation, intelligence and competitiveness to form a complete team to represent Malaysia. Known as ALMISS, Al-Maarif Islamic Secondary School is the first school to represent the state of Pahang in the FIRST Global Challenge. They have no experience participating in the FIRST Global Challenge competition, let alone knowing about REV Robotics, but took this as a challenge and an opportunity for them to explore their potential and develop their skills in robotics and STEM. Participation in the 2025 Malaysia FIRST Global Challenge was a meaningful step when they successfully won the Robot Match and were selected to represent Malaysia in this prestigious competition.

Meet us, the members of Team Malaysia for 2025: led by the head of programming and team ambassador, Farid Zakwan. The team’s main robot builder and game strategist, Umar Nazmi. Meet the twins, assisting and supporting teammate in robot building, Wan Nur Faieqa, while managing the team’s media editing and documentation, Wan Nur Eisya.
Rounding out the team, with the skills to throw the ball into the ecosystem, making him the human player for the team while assisting in programming and editing, Danish Zakwan.
Together, the Malaysian team is now complete with versatile, talented and passionate participants to achieve the championship of this competition.

Roboticist, the official organiser in Malaysia ensures that Team Malaysia receives extensive training, completes all formal tasks assigned to it, and directs the team in its competition preparation. Team Malaysia is trained and directed by a Robotics Mentor, Coach Amir, as well as the school’s team coordinator, Puan Suzihana. As part of the global campaign to recognize robotics as a sport, Team Malaysia is honoured to have national diver Nur Dhabitah Sabri, an Olympian with extensive international experience as one of their official mentors. She has shared her journey, insights, and leadership to inspire and guide the team in their preparations for the competition.

Different backgrounds are not an obstacle to mastering, exploring and gaining knowledge in the fields of Robotics and STEM for them as a team. This opportunity is a step for them to further increase their knowledge, seek new experiences and expand opportunities to get to know and interact with teams from other countries.

The theme “Eco Equilibrium” is very closely related to our country because Malaysia is blessed with tropical rainforests which are home to thousands of unique species. However, the rapid development of technology in this country is no excuse for the people in this country to maintain the ecological balance which is very important to preserve this treasure. Our mission is to ensure that technology and ecology can be balanced in line with this year’s theme, providing exposure and reminders of the importance of this matter.

In preparation for competition day, we dedicate ourselves to studying the game manual, refining strategies, programming solutions, and testing a variety of robot mechanisms, all with the aim of creating a versatile and high-performing robot ready to take on the challenge.
With passion, teamwork, and determination, Team Malaysia is ready for the 2025 FIRST Global Challenge. Ayuh, Malaysia!
