Team Mauritius 2025 🇲🇺

Team Mauritius is proud to participate in the FIRST Global Challenge 2025 in Panama, united under the powerful theme of Eco-Equilibrium. Leading our team is the highly experienced Sohail Aaryan Jugbandhan, who has been a part of the Challenge since 2021. Now serving as captain in his fourth consecutive year, Aaryan brings invaluable experience, strategic leadership, and a deep commitment to mentoring the next generation of innovators.

Our team comprises five outstanding students: Shreya Ramlowat, Hashmi Mulloo, Maelys Coiffic, Navish Redini, and Aaryan himself. Though Sajida Jomeer, a three-time FGC participant, is unable to travel due to her academic exams, she has played an instrumental role in preparing the team by sharing her extensive experience and insights. We are also grateful to Shevin Jules Capiron, an additional helping mentor, who, despite being unable to travel due to his studies, has provided consistent technical guidance and moral support throughout our journey.

Team Mauritius is supported and sponsored by YUVA Mauritius, the country’s leading NGO committed to youth empowerment, innovation, and sustainable development. YUVA is led by Dr. Krishna Athal, a national figure known for his visionary leadership and dedication to uplifting Mauritian youth. Without YUVA’s unwavering support, our participation in this global event would not have been possible.
As a team from a small island developing state, the theme Eco-Equilibrium deeply resonates with our reality. We understand the importance of balancing technological advancement with environmental responsibility. With the guidance of our dedicated mentors, Luckkana Ghaneswarsing and Devesh Takoor, Team Mauritius is ready to showcase our skills, collaborate with global peers, and be part of the collective movement towards a more balanced and sustainable world.
