Namibia, a country in southwest Africa, is where the hot Namib Desert meets the breezy Atlantic Ocean coast, and home to diverse wildlife. A team of five brilliant young minds and STEM enthusiast with diverse skills set in mathematics, physics, mechanics, programming, media management, geography, and agriculture will be representing Namibia in the 2025 FIRST Global Challenge. Team Namibia is guided by dedicated and passionate mentors from the Genius Robotics Club. A welcoming space where students explore the full spectrum of STEM and are prepared for a technology-driven future.

‘Eco Equilibrium’ is an apt theme for the time that we are in, globally. The theme resonates with the challenges that Namibia as a nation faces with environmental challenges like droughts and desertification. This year’s Challenge provides a collaborative and an enabling platform for cross-pollination of innovative ideas with other students from around the world useful for the application of robotics in positively sustaining our planet in every way possible.

Team Namibia is excited to showcase its ingenuity with other students from around the world while also learning from them. With grit, goals and gears – Team Namibia is ready to strike the balance for a better tomorrow!
