Representing our country in the 2025 FIRST Global Challenge is Team Nepal, who is profoundly thrilled to participate in the Challenge ‘FIRST Global’ for 2025 to be held in Panama with a team of highly energetic youth. Our team comprises members from different schools and colleges and from different parts of Nepal.
Aarav Gautam, a student of United School, is the assistant coder and a mechanical designer of the team. With a more practical, hands-on on and building interest, he is willing to participate in the programming and mechanical work of the robot.
Sampanna KC, a student from Trinity College, is the team’s main coder. His area of interest in software ensures that he will devote both time and energy to problem-solving to ensure that Team Nepal’s robot will perform well in the match.
From Trinity College, Shreyash Acharya is also in charge of logistics. His duties are also broad and include supervising equipment, servicing the team’s facilities, and giving the designs to the team, so he has a major impact on the team’s order and readiness.
From United School, Abriya Shrestha is supporting the team as a mechanical assistant. Considering his eagerness to learn, he will be actively involved in the robot’s building, testing and the overall engineering process.
Suryadeep Shrestha is from Premier International College, and he holds the position of social media and communications officer. He makes sure the journey and efforts of Team Nepal are broadcast far and wide.
Larak Yakthumba from Rato Bangala School is in charge of social media. He is always willing to take on any task that is given to him and makes an effort to assist the team in any way he can.
The team is led by Robotics Association of Nepal [RAN] General Secretary Omkar Jaiswal. The students will be able to concentrate and give their best effort on the global stage with his guidance and assistance. Other Non-Travelling Members including Mr. Prasanna Giri and Mr. Neir Amatya who were also part of last year FIRST Global Challenge 2025 Greece.
