FIRST Global Team Rwanda was born in 2017, when the majority of teams started. And from then it has made a lot of improvement, and these improvement has made positive impact among Rwandans community and students themselves. These improvements include the project we started which is under implementation phase. The project was inspired by 2022 theme about Carbon capture. From that theme we got and started a project of planting trees which will be planted nearby the main roads in Kigali City. These Trees will help to mitigate carbon dioxide released by lories and vehicles to keep Rwandans healthy safe from many diseases caused by breathing contaminated air. The genesis of this project was that we all know that trees are the main and natural source not only to generate clean oxygen but also to purify unclean air.
First Global Team Rwanda 2025, is composed by one mentor, three technical mentors and five students, among them, only two mentors and five students are ready to travel to Panama City.

MUROTI R. THEOPHILE, a primary team mentor, has been working and lead successfully FIRST Global Team Rwanda From 2017 today. He has been in charge of recruiting, training, administrate and organizing all team’s activities from that time to date.
Assisting with MPUHWEZIMANA JEAN GABRIEL, who joined the team from 2023, and has brought big change and helped the team to perform better.

I’m GITANGAZA ORNELLA SAMUELLA a student passionate about tech and creativity actually am 16years old am going in senior five. And am studying SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT and I study at KIYUMBA TVET SCHOOL. it is located in muhanga . I love robotics learning new things and making new friends and also I enjoy trying new things and discover a lot so am sweet but strong and I love to have fun. So my expectations in FIRST GLOBAL CHALLENGE 2025 are am going to learn more about robotics and also am also going to get experience in working together with others and also am going to know how to make impressive things from just one idea that can come in my mind and also know how to develop it and be working as I wanted it my expectations here are many and I hope that I will learn everything I want .

My name is ISHIMWE Ninette Gwiza , I’m 18 years old ,study mathematics, physics and computer science combination and going in senior six . I study at GROUPE SCOLAIRE NOTRE DAME DU BON CONSEIL BYUMBA which is located in GICUMBI district . I live in NYARUGENGE district . I am the first the born in my family , I like many things that are related to Technology but besides them I like to listening to music which makes me relax than sleeping . the things that I am expecting from the FIRST GLOBAL CHALLENGE 2025 are learning and improving the skills about robots which is like the first time for me on learning about robots andwhich is the one to encourage me on it , also making new Friends , working together with them where we share our ideas that is why I’m expecting many things that I love and need.

My name is Mukiza Ghislain ,I am 18 years old and I study mathematics, economics and computer science combination and I am going in senior six. I study at group scolaire remera rukoma which is located in kamonyi district southern province. I live in muhanga district. I am the second born in my family, I am interested in computer science like programing and web development which is in FIRST global challenge 2025 we are leaning and improving skills in programing robots and building them, It is first time for me on leaning about robots bout I am interested and also I make new friends and my expectation is making new friends from different countries and getting more connections.

My name is IKIREZI Marie Faustine, I am 18 years old, studied Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry at Lycee Notre Dame de Citeaux which is located in KIGALI- GASABO District , I’ve completed the secondary national exam this year(2025), I live in Musanze district, Nothern province. I’m the last born among four children. I’m currently interested in robotics eager to participate in FIRST Global Challenge 2025 to learn new skills in this technology and build networks all in teamwork with high expectations.

My name is TETA QUEEN RAISSA, 17 years old, I was excited to meet FIRST Global team Rwanda, I learned a lot and have gained more knowledge. I met my fellow young Rwandans with the passion to reach far. We have built a strong team work and we are all friends. Living in Eastern province, my hobby is reading and sometimes watching movies.
