San Marino may be one of the smallest countries in the world, but our dreams are anything but small. Representing a microstate with a long history of resilience and independence, Team San Marino brings together a group of passionate students who believe that innovation, technology, and teamwork can shape a better future.

Despite limited resources, we’ve built a strong community around robotics and STEM education. This is our second participation in the FIRST Global Challenge, and our team is composed of curious minds, creative thinkers, and motivated builders. Each of us brings a unique background, but we share the same values: cooperation, commitment, and a desire to learn by doing.

Our journey began with local training sessions and workshops supported by mentors, educators, and entrepreneurs who believe in the power of youth. We are proud to show the world that even a small nation can think big, solve global challenges, and inspire others through technology.

We first discovered FIRST Global in August 2024, and in just a few weeks, we embraced its vision and values with enthusiasm. In September 2024, we participated in the Athens First Global Challenge, which was an incredible experience that sparked even more passion. Since then, our team has grown, and in February 2025, we proudly competed in the FIRST Tech Challenge Italy. Now, we are preparing for the journey to Panama.

We have reached out to our government and several companies to gain visibility, secure sponsorships, and promote robotics as a sport. We are few, it’s not easy—but we are giving it everything we’ve got.

For us, this is more than a competition. It’s an opportunity to connect, grow, and be part of something greater.
