Team Somalia proudly represents the Somali youth in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Our team is composed of talented high school and university students from diverse regions of Somalia who share a passion for robotics, innovation, and problem-solving. Despite limited resources and challenging circumstances, the students are driven by creativity, determination, and a vision to use technology as a tool for positive change in their communities.

Guided by mentors from Setsom Technologies and Somali Polytechnic Institute, our students are gaining hands-on experience in engineering, coding, electronics, and teamwork. Each team member plays a vital role, from designing and building the robot to programming, project management, and outreach. Together, they collaborate to overcome obstacles, turning challenges into opportunities for growth and learning.

Through participation in the FIRST Global Challenge 2025 in Panama City, Team Somalia aims not only to compete but also to inspire the next generation of Somali innovators. Our dream is to showcase the resilience, talent, and potential of Somali youth on the world stage and to bring back knowledge and experiences that can help build a brighter technological future for Somalia.
