We are Team United Republic of Tanzania, proudly representing our nation at the FIRST Global Challenge 2025 — where young minds come together to tackle global problems through robotics and STEM innovation. Our team is made up of extraordinary students from diverse schools across Tanzania, united by a passion for engineering, technology, and meaningful impact.

Meet Our Team Members
Calvin an aspiring engineer whose creativity and quick learning make him a true young leader. He started robotics training in 2024 and brings fresh energy and ideas to the 2025 challenge.

Islam A FIRST Global Challenge 2023 participant in Greece and a future mechatronic engineer. Islam’s experience and passion make him a great mentor and leader for this year’s team.

Raul A future doctor who loves research and communicating big ideas. As our spokesperson, Raul connects our work in robotics to real-life challenges and global solutions.

Kevin Affectionately called Mr. Pilot, Kevin dreams of flying high. His passion for mechanics and programming drives him to learn and try new things every day, adding enthusiasm and fresh ideas to the team.

Radhia A computer science student and FIRST Global alumna from the 2023 team. Radhia returns as a volunteer mentor, bringing her experience and dedication to help shape the next generation.

Munira A builder, designer, and creator who loves hands-on work. With her experience from the 2024 challenge, she inspires our team to innovate and think creatively.

Collins — A passionate student with a strong interest in technology and robotics. His involvement in school tech activities and commitment to learning make him a valuable member of our team.

Meet Our Mentors
Mkufu Tindi an accomplished electromechanical engineer with over 15 years in the energy industry. Her expertise in sustainable energy solutions and her commitment to gender diversity through the IET-Women’s Chapter have impacted countless young girls. Mkufu is the founder of Women in Energy and Climate Action (WIECA), championing women’s empowerment in the energy sector. Since the founding of FIRST Global in 2017, she has served as Tanzania’s main point of contact and technical mentor, guiding teams with her experience and passion for STEM education.

Miss Hajra — A computer scientist working at a leading telecom company and a proud FIRST Global alumna from the 2019 Team United Republic of Tanzania. Hajra is dedicated to using her knowledge and experience to help shape and lead this year’s team toward greater innovation and success.

Together, supported by inspiring mentors, we believe in teamwork, creativity, and representing Tanzania with pride. We are ready to learn, share, and inspire as we tackle global challenges through robotics and STEM!
