Over the past few months of preparations for this year’s FIRST Global Challenge, Team Trinidad and Tobago have become exceptionally grateful for the opportunity to represent our country under a program promoting a theme such as Eco-Equilibrium. Trinidad and Tobago, being a small-island nation in the Caribbean, historically has been heavily reliant on the processes of green farming, hunting and the conservation and subsequent utilization of natural resources as a form of livelihood for a large portion of the population.

As students passionately invested in the field of STEM, we have established a team of engineers to programmers whom are eager to acquire the skillset required by FIRST. This program has provided a unique pathway for young, stem-inclined minds to broaden their horizons to a vast range of future opportunities. Furthermore, as island-dwellers we are incredibly conscious of the ever-prominent fact that Trinidad and Tobago is dependent on sustainability and innovative techniques to continuously employ the best use of our resources, allowing us to profitize our nation through tourism.

Drawn from a place of connection to nature and a genuine concern for the preservation of the environment even extending outside of our own country, Team Trinidad and Tobago is prepared to enlighten the populace and further culminate the importance of imaginative engineering strategies in the minds of youths for the betterment of each and every nation.
