04 Aug Belize To Have Its Own “Wall-E” Version Robot
Belize for the first time will be participating in a global robotics competition that takes place betweenAugust 15 and 18 at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City. The focus of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) event this year is “Energy Impact” and is considered the “Olympics” of robotic competition.
Team Belize comprises students from Ocean Academy in Caye Caulker and Belize High School in Belize City.
The other students are Freshman Sergio Pech, Junior Xavissa Molina, Junior Dennis Gilharry and Junior Mohit Vanjani. The delegation will also include BHS Principal Jamie Usher, BHS IT Director Godfrey Sosa, Joni Miller of Ocean Academy and team mentors Miguel Tzub and Marcelli Young.
