Chubb sponsors two teams at the Robotics “Olympics” FIRST Global Challenge in Mexico

Translated from Spanish.

Chubb announced today that it is sponsoring two teams in the 2018 FIRST Global Challenge, the annual Robotics “Olympics” on an international level. The teams supported by Chubb, from Argentina and Ecuador, join representatives from more than 150 countries, which compete this year in Mexico City. The event, coordinated by the non-profit organization FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Global, takes place from August 16 to 18.

The FIRST Global Challenge is based on the 14 major challenges of engineering, identified by the National Academy of Engineering of the United States. Chubb supports the mission of the FIRST Global Challenge to encourage understanding and cooperation among the world’s youth, who use their problem solving skills. Last year’s Challenge involved participants from 157 countries, impacted more than 2,500 young people and more than 800 volunteers. The theme of 2018 is “Energy Challenge”.

Chubb is proud to support the FIRST Global Challenge and recognizes the work, creativity and innovation of participating teams from around the world.
