08 Jun ST PETER’S LUTHERAN DISPLAYS ROBOTICS PROWESS, STUDENTS TO REPRESENT AUSTRALIA IN GLOBAL TILT
Four students from St Peter’s Lutheran College in Indooroopilly will join their peers from Grace Lutheran College as members of Team Australia, on their way to the USA to compete in the FIRST Global Challenge. The event is an international robotics competition to be held at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. on July 16th to 18th.
Also known as the QLA Pineapples, Team Australia is bound by a common passion for robotics and shared interest in STEM. The team garnered 6th Place Alliance at the “Steamworks” Pacific Regional FRC tilt and 3rd Place Alliance as a finalist at the recent “Velocity Vortex” Australian National FTC event. On the heels of such an impressive season, the Pineapples showed that they have the chops to hold their own at the world robotics arena.
