01 Sep FIRST Global Announces Lam Research as Title Sponsor for the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge
Manchester, NH – FIRST Global, the nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring young people worldwide through the sport of robotics, is proud to announce Lam Research as the Title Sponsor of the 2024 FIRST Global Challenger. Under the theme, Feeding the Future, this year’s event will be held in Athens, Greece, from 26-29 September and will bring together students from over 190 countries to participate in the world’s most international robotics competition.

The 2024 FIRST Global Challenge will feature an unforgettable opening ceremony at the Panathenaic Stadium on September 26th at 7:00 PM local time, with a special performance by the Black Eyed Peas at 9:00 PM. The Opening Ceremony is open to the general public and interested attendees can reserve their free tickets at first.global/event. The Feeding the Future robotics challenge tasks teams with building robots to navigate a simulated environment, balancing the complex relationships between water, food, and energy systems, all while fostering sustainable solutions to global food systems.

This year’s sponsorship is part of Lam’s pledged $10 million donation over three years* to FIRST Global, providing critical funding to support FIRST Global’s mission to expand access to STEM education and cultivate future global technology leaders. This year, Lam also provided 48 mentors worldwide, helping to ensure every youth team has an opportunity to thrive at the event.
