We are the first Robotics team in Afghanistan and were formed by Digital Citizen Fund in 2017. But currently due to the political situation in our country where girls have no right to education, we reside in Toronto, Canada where we had to move with our families after the fall of Afghanistan.
We proudly announce that once more us girls have been selected to represent Team Afghanistan at the FIRST Global Challenge, 2023. Our team members are chosen amongst the most talented Afghan girls here in Toronto and represent almost all ethnicities inside Afghanistan. As a dedicated group of motivated students, mentors, and volunteers, we aim to transform the culture of our community through the STEAM program and grow into some of the world’s young leaders in science and technology. Our goal is to develop and explore our minds, use our creativity and possibly unveil the genius inside each one of us. This opportunity would allow us to invent, design, and create tools that will help us improve our community, our lives, and ourselves. We believe we can make a difference, and as a matter of fact most breakthroughs in science, technology, and even industries usually start with a simple childhood dream to contribute something to humanity. We want to be the child who dreams big and pursue our dreams in order to make a difference in humans’ lives.

We are here to prove that being a group of girls from Afghanistan does not and will not stop us from loving STEAM.
