The DEI Greek National Robotics Team consists of 58 high school students from all over Greece. Eduact, an educational non profit organization, each year sents an open invite to students all over Greece to form the Greek National Robotics Team. The group includes children who have excelled in many different competitions in both robotics and programming, as well as in other competitions such as the Mathematical Society Competitions, the Physical Society Competitions, Research and Innovation Competitions, Art Competitions, Short Film Competitions, Virtual Entrepreneurship Competitions, but most of all for their love to research, explore new territories, promote the spirit of cooperation and have passion and fun in everything they do. Our team has evolved through the years: new members are added each year from 2018 and are familiarized with REV Robotics, CAD and Coding by the past members that now have the role of Supporting Mentors, resulting in an educational continuum, cultivating the next STEM leaders of our community.

Team Greece is a living organism that is active throughout each academic year delivering STEM workshops and presentations, taking part in awareness actions, festivals and expos, contacting local leaders, contributing to our national educational system and spreading the message of STEM, FIRST Global and teamwork throughout the country. Until today, we have reached over 4.000 children of all ages and participated in over 200 events! Even the COVID-19 pandemic didn’t manage to hold us down! We published online STEM activities and we delivered distance learning lessons with our partners and supporters.

Our goal every season is to build a united team within the spirit of FIRST Global, expand our knowledge of robot design and engineering techniques, secure the future of the team, keep on inspiring as many children as we can to do science, robotics, programming and engineering and, finally, offer everyone opportunities in learning and self-development!
