Team Madagascar is participating in the seventh edition of the FIRST Global Challenge, bringing together a new group of 8 students and 2 mentors. The team’s composition encompasses diverse interests and aspirations.
Santatrarinoro, the Team Manager, holds a master’s degree in social science and communication. The programming managers, Enzo and Yandy, aged 16 and 17 respectively, have a fervor for science and robotics. Emrick, the communication manager, aims to become a video game developer or engineer. Law Anthony, the technical mentor, is driven by his passion for technology’s inner workings and aims to inspire budding engineers.
Manasoa, the 17-year-old programming manager, has a penchant for research. Tsaroana, aged 17, aspires to utilize STEM for social entrepreneurship, while Harena, a 16-year-old communication manager, is enthusiastic about robotics and artificial intelligence. Laetitia, aged 17, serves as the team leader and programming manager, with a strong passion for robotics. Grace Hafaliana Gloria, 18, is the mechanical manager with a profound interest in mechanical engineering and automation.
The team finds the FGC theme “Hydrogen Horizons” highly relevant to Madagascar’s context. Their motivation for joining the challenge lies in inspiring youth to explore STEM, recognizing its potential to address everyday problems. Furthermore, they are dedicated to promoting gender diversity in STEM by forming an all-girls team. Team Madagascar consists of students and mentors with diverse interests, all committed to embracing STEM’s potential to solve real-world challenges. They are participating in the FIRST Global Challenge to inspire young minds and empower girls in the STEM field.
