Team Paraguay 2023 🇵🇾

We are the ASA Robogators, a team of talented students from the American School of Asuncion, Paraguay, consisting of Jakob Usandivaras, Dorian Recinos, Daniel Lee, Gabriel Usandivaras, and Elias Estigarribia. As passionate participants in the field of robotics, we have actively engaged in various events and competitions, showcasing our skills and representing our country on a regional and international level.

Over the past couple of years our team has been hosting numerous steam events and launching new initiatives. For example, we recently hosted the National Robotics Workshop and Scrimmage in Paraguay, a prominent robotics event that promoted STEAM engagement. Through workshops held during this scrimmage, we brought our community together through robotics, and geared students to pursue their own initiatives by exposing them to experienced professionals in the field who they could learn from.

We’ve also previously engaged in international robotics competitions representing Paraguay on a global stage. For example, our team represented Paraguay in the FIRST OPEN in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in August of last year. The most recent international experience we’ve had has been our participation in the UAS STEAM SAAC conference which took place in April of this year, where numerous Latin American schools came together to solve some of the most pressing issues of our world.

Through the scrimmages we locally host, to engaging students in Paraguay, our goal has been to promote the growth of the FIRST Tech Challenge League in Paraguay. By sharing our experiences and knowledge gained from international participation and through communal relationships, we have actively contributed to this growth and will continue to do so in the future.

The ASA Robogators, representing Team Paraguay, are consistently pushing the boundaries of innovation and leaving our mark in regional competitions. Our committed, dedicated, passionate, team will continue pushing through, breaking boundaries, and having fun as we drive to inspire young minds to engage in STEM.
