
06 May Team São Tomé and Príncipe 2023 🇸🇹
The team representing São Tomé and Príncipe this year consists of 5 students, one teacher and the headmistress of the Escola Portuguesa de São Tomé e Príncipe.
The students of the 2023 team are a set of curious and creative young people. They are highly interested in robotics and STEM and expect to awake interests in the use of new technologies in other students in the country. They are all motived to participate in the challenge and consider it will be a center of development in their lives.
Alessandro Neto was born in August 2007. He is a boy that LOVES to discover new things. He is a boy in love with computers, whose favorite hobby is playing. He is always ready to help the others when it is necessary.
Heliane Oliveira was born in September 2004. She is an 11th year student of Arts, who is passionate about animals, visual arts, reading, watching anime in her spare time and currently discovered that she is also passionate about robotics. At the moment she is excited about the possibility of being able to participate in one of the largest robotics competitions in the world and being able to represent her beautiful country together with her colleagues. Still not knowing what she wants to do with her life, but open to living new experiences and making new friends. She lives her life calmly and peacefully.
Larice Medeiros was born in August 2006. She attends the Visual Arts Course. At the moment, she intends to graduate in architecture and later in civil engineering, but she also has other interests, such as programming. She has the dream of improving her country by contributing with achievements related to this area. She is also very fond of Graphic Design, having already participated in some logo contests in her own country. She has an immense passion for books and if she could, she would spend the rest of her days surrounded by them, on the other hand she also loves to draw and paint.
Liri was born in October 2006. She is interested in mathematics, descriptive geometry and drawing; it was from these disciplines that her interest in becoming a civil engineer and architect arose. She sees her participation in the FIRST Global Challenge as an opportunity to acquire skills, whether in the field of robotics or in the field of communication and interaction with other cultures through people. In her free time, she enjoys reading, being in contact with nature, friends and family and also helping an organization that helps animals.
Alvinho, born in April 2007, is a talented volleyball player and student at the Portuguese School of São Tomé and Príncipe, in São Tomé. Since he was a little boy, he has shown a passion for video games and exceptional volleyball skills. However, his true brilliance is in the field of STEM. Alvinho is an active member of the school’s robotics club, where he channels his curiosity and creativity into learning robotics. His dedication to STEM and his participation in the robotics club highlight him as a promising young man in the field, showing his commitment to science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
