We are Team Türkiye from Bahçeşehir High School for Science and Technology, located in Istanbul, Türkiye. Our team was established 13 years ago by boarding students on full scholarships who came from over 40 different cities of Türkiye in order to participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition. Since the formation of our team, we have been deeply devoted to spreading FIRST values and have been doing so by mentoring younger FIRST Lego League teams and forming several FRC teams in our country while participating in FIRST competitions ourselves.

This year, all of our team members are making an excellent effort for the FIRST Global Challenge with great enthusiasm. Our team members Ege and Evren take care of the coding of our robot using the coding knowledge they gained from their FIRST Lego League experiences. Yasemin, who has always been interested in mathematics and problem-solving, uses her mathematical background while making technical calculations and leads the team through the computational process for the building of the robot. Sude and Eren, who have participated in several certification programs in 3D designing, plan our robot’s main lines and create a 3D model of it using Solidworks.

Overall we are very excited to be participating in FIRST Global Challenge as Team Türkiye for the 5th time in a row. We wish all the participating teams good luck and we can’t wait to see you all in October!
