04 May Team Vanuatu 2023 🇻🇺
Greetings From the Republic of Vanuatu.
Team Vanuatu consists of eleven very positive, innovative and career-minded young people who come from different social and cultural backgrounds in Vanuatu. Team Vanuatu is being coordinated by SMART Sistas Committee, a non-profit organization that organizes annual Girls ICT Camps in Vanuatu since 2016.
Members of the Vanuatu team this year bring new energy and passion. Each member has their various career path interests and are eager to join hands, bring their creative and innovative minds together and work as a team. The team looks forward to building connections with fellow teammates from country teams around the world. Each of them with their unique set skills and are very keen to join forces with their fellow country team in the FIRST Global Robotics Challenge. Team Vanuatu has been participating in the FIRST Global Robotic Challenge since 2017 and each year the team changes due to the age criteria. Last Year in 2022, the team consists of both girls and boys for the first time who are eager to learn more about building the robot and making it work. Most of the members this year have no prior experience with building a robot since competitions in Vanuatu are almost non-existent. Regardless, with enthusiasm, this team is very confident.
The team is looking forward to the challenge for 2023 where the travelling team of five students and two mentors will meet with the global robotics family in Singapore and meet up with their country alliances. We have again on the students, traveling team two males and 3 females, each with their own unique experiences and set of skills with robotics. Team Vanuatu wishes all teams best wishes for the 2023 challenge and a memorable experience in Singapore.
Thank you to our supporters!
