The Angola Robotics Team is made up of seven talented and dedicated students, each bringing unique and complementary skills to the table. The team is made of the participants of the Angola national robotics competition called CANAR, which takes it is inspiration from FIRST Global.

Geraldo Didier Luyindula Mavacala, known as Geraldo, is a student at 12th year in the Machines and Engines course at the Dom Damião Polytechnic Institute Franklin. He has knowledge of basic mechanics, robotics and is good at assembly, parts and programming. He dreams to be a machine engineer in the emerging industries in Angola.

Carlos dos Santos Silva, also known as DS, is a high school student Tree of Happiness, studying 11th class in Electronics and Telecommunications. He has skills in programming, digital and analog electronics, and be he is on the path to be a computer network engineer with the dream to bring automation to its sector.

Isreal Pedro C. Lucalo is an electronics and telecommunications technician, student at Colégio Árvore da Felicidade. It deals with the programming language C++, a little mechanics and design, with the aim of having one of the biggest companies technology in the field of robotics in Angola!

Paloma Alexandra Simões da Silva is a machine and engine student at Damião Franklin Polytechnic Institute. She has knowledge about design technician, dominating more the artistic area. She is a “beginner” English speaker and a little fluent in Spanish. Paloma is well known for having a competitive spirit and possessing the which she calls “hyperfocus”.
Irineu Chilianga is taking the 12th class in Electronics and Telecommunications at CAF. He is a “Pentester” and captain of the CAF cybersecurity team. Irineu programs in Bash and has knowledge of other languages such as Python and C++, as well as a broad mastery in electronics and project development. He is also a student of English and Japanese.

Rogério Emerson, 18 years old, is a 12th grade student, Machinery and Engines at the Dom Damião Franklin Polytechnic Institute. He is intermediate in English and fluent in Spanish, has knowledge of Python, HTML and Java programming (Blocks). Rogério really likes technology and even more so now that he has become familiar with it. With robotics, he has further deepened his knowledge about it.

Adélio Ceita da Silva Bernardo is studying the 12th year at Instituto Politécnico Dom Damião Franklin, focused on the study of Machine and Engine Mechanics. In addition to your main course, Adélio has a passionate interest in robotics. Adélio is determined to become a professional versatile and competent, always looking for new opportunities to expand its capabilities knowledge and face challenging challenges.

This team is committed to using their skills to help effectively others on the community after taking part on the robotics competition the team, dreams to continue to spread STEM activities into as many schools they can in Angola.
