13 May Team Belarus 2024 🇧🇾
Greetings from Belarus! We are a team of 12 students and mentors, willing to participate in the FIRST Global Challenge in cooperation with other teams from all over the globe in Athens this year. We studied in different schools, came from different places and didn’t know each other until recently, but our passion for robotics and STEM brought us together, and we would like to apply our knowledge and skills in these fields to make the world a better place for everyone. We are very proud and excited to represent our country at FGC in 2024!
Our mentors: ALIAKSANDR FRANTSKEVICH – head mentor (Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the BELARUSIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER MAXIM TANK); YAUHENI HOVAR – lead mentor (ex-student of the Belarusian State University); ALIAKSANDR KULSHA – programmer mentor (ex-student of the Belarusian state university of informatics and radioelectronics)/
Our participants: SIMON OLEKSIN; ALEX LAVRENCHIK; HLEB ULASAU; SOFIA BERTOSH; DANIIL LATUSHKO; VIKA BERTOSH; YAN FRANTSKEVICH; DIANA DMITRYEVICH; DIMA MATVEEV.
Here is some information about us:
Simon: Hai! I’m Simon, I’m 15 years old. I live near Minsk, and since childhood I have been interested in natural sciences and mathematics. I also really like sports, tennis, basketball, cycling, orienteering and many others. Until now, I have successfully managed to study well and be comprehensively developed. I believe that we should take from life everything that is given to us!
Alex: Hello everyone! I’m Alex. I was born in 2009, live in Minsk and study in the 8th grade. I have a lot of different hobbies, and one of them is hockey. I have been playing hockey for HC Dinamo-Minsk for more than 10 years. Hockey helps me to be persistent, to finish all the tasks I have and never give up. Sport has taught me to value time, as my second hobby is robotics and programming. I want to connect my future profession with it, so I am actively studying English and different programming languages as Python and Java. Each passing day brings me closer to my future goal. I believe that a positive attitude and determination to success will help our team.
Hleb: Hello, my name is Hleb, I’m 17. I’m into video games, robotics and brain games. I started robotics when I was in the first grade, and it’s very important for me because I plan to connect my future career with programming and working in a team. Participating in FGC would help me develop communication skills as well as teach me to find solutions in challenging situations.
Sofia: My name is Sofia. I was born in 2009. I live in Minsk and study in high school in the 8th grade. I am a very versatile person and I have a lot of hobbies. As a child, I tried myself in many ways and came to fencing, architecture, modeling and robotics. Of the sciences, I am fascinated by physics and history, because they are very interesting. Every day some opportunity opens up for me, and I happily take it!
Daniil: My name is Daniil. I was born in Belarus, in 2007. I’m interested in sciences and Math, so I study it at an in-depth level. As experience has shown, distance study is not a problem for me. I also enjoy doing 3D modeling, and I’m gradually and successfully moving forward in learning this.
Yan: Hello, my name is Yan, I am 17. I am fond of video filming and editing. I took my first steps into the world of robotics in the first grade. Connecting parts and creating controlled structures fascinated me so much that to this day robotics has a special place in my heart. Participation in this tournament for me is an opportunity to test myself and my skills.
Vika: Hello! I am Vika, born on a sunny autumn in 2009. I like to joke (but sometimes only I understand my jokes). I have many hobbies, from drawing and fencing to robotics and programming languages. I know English at a fairly good level and am trying to further study this language. I think that nothing is impossible in life. The main thing is to try and understand that there is nothing difficult about it.
Thank you to our supporters!
