Team Burkina Faso is a dynamic team of young talents from Burkina Faso, aged 14 to 17, who will be taking part in the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge in Greece. Building on their experience of the 2023 robotics competition in Singapore. This passionate team is ready to take on new challenges on the international stage.

1. Hackim Ouédraogo – Technical Leader – With a passion for engineering and robotics, Hackim was the team’s programmer during their first participation in Singapore. His expertise in programming and robot design is a major asset to the team.

2. Shenila Compaore – Design Specialist – Shenila stands out for her creativity and skills in robot design. Her role is crucial in designing the robot’s mechanisms and structures. She also has a strong aptitude for teamwork and problem-solving.

3. Joseph – Joseph is the brains behind the robot’s electronic systems. His in-depth knowledge of circuits and sensors ensures that the robots work optimally. His enthusiasm and technical curiosity are contagious.

4. Rachidatou – Project Coordinator – Despite her young age, Rachida has proven to be an exceptional organizer. She manages the logistical aspects of the team, coordinates efforts and ensures that every member is on the same wavelength.

5. Ted – is the team strategist, responsible for planning tactics and strategies during matches. His ability to analyze situations quickly and make tactical adjustments is essential to the team’s success.

Objectives and motivation: Team members from Burkina Faso are determined to demonstrate their expertise and strengthen their robotics skills at the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge. Their experience in Singapore 2023 was a crucial step in their development. They are motivated by the desire to share their passion for technology and inspire other young people in Burkina Faso and beyond.

Ambitions: The team aspires not only to excel in the competition, but also to create a lasting impact by using their skills to solve local problems in Burkina Faso.
